Who can join the Beavercreek Chess Club?

The club welcomes all students in grades 1-12 living in the Beavercreek Ohio School District. This includes home-schooled students.

Do I need to be an experienced chess player?

No. We will tailor instruction and game-play to meet the needs of beginner to advanced players.

What does it cost?

It is $50 for the 2024-25 school year. This covers the cost of software we will use to track learning progression and for a club t-shirt.

Where do we meet?

We meet at Jacob Coy Middle School, located at
1786 Dayton Xenia Rd, Beavercreek, OH 45485.

When do we meet?

We meet every Thursday from 6-7 PM.

When Can I join?

You can join by showing up at any meeting or by sending an email to beavercreekchess@gmail.com.

What happens at the club meetings?

The club meetings are divided into two sessions: 30 minutes of instruction and 30 minutes of practice/free play.

Do you hold tournaments?

Yes. We hold monthly unrated quads tournaments for club members. We also will host two unrated fundraiser tournaments for any youth participant. We plan to attend other local and state-level tournaments as a club as well.

How can I support the club?

We are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to assist with coaching! We also would appreciate any donations of chess equipment or supplies. Thank you!
